There is absolutely no connection between the composition of batteries (6:2:2 or 8:1:1 etc.) and the proportion of battery metal in the ground or the proportion that comes out of the processing plant.
You are suggesting that AUZ needs to produce battery materials in exactly the same proportion as required by particular batteries. This is nonsensical.
The ‘feed grades’ are totally irrelevant to battery cathode manufacturers. They just want Ni and Co sulfates at consistent battery-appropriate purity, irrespective of the feed grades. Then they combine them in the cathodes with the other components at the appropriate ratios, depending on what type of battery cell is being produced.
The idea of ‘blending down’ Co to 0.1% is absurd. They are doing the opposite – ‘blending it up’ to Co sulfates at around 20% Co metal equivalent.
