You are suggesting that AUZ needs to produce battery materials in exactly the same proportion as required by particular batteries. This is nonsensical.

The ‘feed grades’ are totally irrelevant to battery cathode manufacturers. They just want Ni and Co sulfates at consistent battery-appropriate purity, irrespective of the feed grades. Then they combine them in the cathodes with the other components at the appropriate ratios, depending on what type of battery cell is being produced.

The idea of ‘blending down’ Co to 0.1% is absurd. They are doing the opposite – ‘blending it up’ to Co sulfates at around 20% Co metal equivalent.

Just wish to correct your post, the purity of Co sulphate is determined/done in the SX phase, certainly not in feedgrade(blending)/ROM/crusher phase.
The feedgrades/blending will be used to ensure clients requirements are met for OT amounts.
Just putting the facts out there.
