I think in this case the custodian appears on the CHESS and Company registers as the holder - as I understand it neither CHESS nor the company have visibility into the individual holders represented by the custodian. I hold some of my ECT and ECTOC via an Interactive Brokers account and these don't appear on CHESS (I can't remember the custodian IB uses but I used to know).
