I'm sure ASIC would like to set an example with these new powers in the future. Will be interesting to see which company on the ASX is the first cab off the rank to get some special treatment after a through investigation. I guess it makes ASICs job much much easier when 'whistle-blower' shareholders and company employees provide detailed information about wrong doings, misconduct, irregular share trading activities etc etc.
