Many vehicles have a diesel engine option today, but most people prefer petrol.
Gas is OK but like diesel is not as lively as a petrol engine.
Hydrogen and fuel cells are too expensive and possibly hazardous in a smash.
Personally I think hybrids and/or all electric is the way to go.
Electricity is cheap and reliable.
