What are the true teachings of Mohammad? How are these to be separated from the vilification of non believers and the instructions on how to treat unbelievers, to kill them, enslave them, cut off their hands, etc?
Anything good is simply the flip side of the coin.....the good part relating to believers of the faith, not to non believers, who were considered to be beneath consideration. That doesn't paint a picture of timeless wisdom or even reasonable decency.
Just more savagery.
Even savages can be fairly moral when dealing with their own tribe or religion. Such consideration may not be on offer to outsiders.
Who said anything about "timeless wisdom"? There are many Muslims that acknowledge that what is taught in the Quran is some timeless stuff, and some stuff good for the time of revelation only, and some stuff that might be good for today but requires refinement.
The true teachings of Prophet Muhammad are to be found in the Quran only.
The Hadiths are all unreliable in my opinion, and the Quran warns about the fabrications found within them, likely overseen by Uthman.
