"a man sits looking at a photograph and says ' Brothers and sisters i have none ,but that mans father is my fathers son' WHO IS IN THE PHOTO ? "
1. "a man sits looking at a photograph and says ' Brothers and sisters i have none ,but that mans father is ( my fathers son )' WHO IS IN THE PHOTO ? "
my fathers son => can be me or male siblings;
However, "Brothers and sisters i have none" means I do not have any siblings;
Therefore:
my fathers son => must be me;
Therefore replacing "( my fathers son )" with "me" gives:
2. A man sits looking at a photograph and says "Brothers and sisters i have none ,but that mans father is ( "me" )' WHO IS IN THE PHOTO ? ";
The statement "Brothers and sisters i have none" is now redundant. Therefore 2 becomes:
3. A man sits looking at a photograph and says "that mans father is me' WHO IS IN THE PHOTO ? ";
Therefore, must be his son.
