I'm not expert on contract law or ASX fine detail (perhaps @Chotto can help us out here) but I don't believe it's standard operating procedure to do pre-announcements, I've certainly not seen it happen too often if at all... so maybe reserve the complaints until after the period of this specific offer has expired.
