PERSEUS Mining has successfully raised $A15 million to fund its West African gold projects.

The Perth-based company has placed 10.7 million shares at $1.40 each to institutional clients of BGF Capital and Helmsec Global Capital to net $15 million for its war chest.
The placement will go ahead in two tranches, with 1.24 million shares issued this week and the balance issued after a shareholder meeting in June.
Perseus said it would use the funds raised to continue its exploration work in Ghana and the Ivory Coast, and its feasibility work at the Ayanfuri and Grumesa gold projects in Ghana.
The raising follows on from a $10.6 million raising the company completed in March.
Shares in the company were steady at $1.50 yesterday and unchanged again this morning.
