Not sure if I (or anyone else) was expecting anything good out of this report anyway.
What is suprising is the mismanagement of the business. It's easy to blame the RC, the soft retail conditions and the housing slump. But the matter of fact is that Australia is an automobile dependent country, and that is not going to change. Commuting distances are long, our public transport sucks compared to Asian/Euro countries and even if new car sales go up or down, dealerships should have little trouble to weather storms with the right decisions.
This turns out to be one of my worst investments, I used to hold for the dividend but now we don't even get this. In my experience, the "temporary" suspension will likely be more "temporary" than they make it sound.
