You are right, going all in on one company is more akin to gambling
IF you have not done your homework.
Most people do not go all in, the missing pieces of a puzzle sometimes show property investments, managed funds and separate superannuation assets and the likes. So in many cases its not actually all in. Its more like they preferenced one share.
