    They are telling you the net proceeds amount and in brackets, spelling out that $8.4m usd was previously paid.

    i.e. they will receive $280m but the net proceeds are less $8.4m due to tax instalment. Therefore, technically they are receiving $271.6m.

    Bloody hell its not rocket science!
