Well here's harping on for some people who felt like victims and were never heard.
To My Aunt Biddy who had both her knees smashed when thrown down the stairs by the Nun's, and went on to live many years with a permanent hobble and severe pain.
To my Uncle Desmond who suffered terrible abuse, physical and sexual at the hands of priest's (plural) and Christian brothers, and spent his life as a subservient, frightened man.
To my dear Dad, a very forgiving and happy man who died last year, 73 years after the abuse occurred with the names of Priests and Christian brothers etched deep into his nightmares, and would oft times quietly cry alone.
To the children who were beaten so badly they just disappeared at night never to be seen again.
My Dad, Aunt, and Uncle could all bare witness to that.
As for asking young abused children to read the life stories of Mandela and Luther King... I think you've lost the plot Red Cedar.
Finally, here's to the ignore facility on HC which I very rarely like to use.
