If you where a potential bidder for a couple of billion, you would be shorting the Sh_t out of this stock to keep a lid on it. You loose a couple of mil in the process and save lots more on the sale. If the sale doesn't go through, the price will tank again and you'll more than likely walk out with a small profit for the hassle...... DYOR
