I often wonder what happens to the tenants right underneath the rooftop, unless there is a real space. Remember an artist name of
Friedensreich Hundertwasser who finished up going back and forth between Europe and New Zealand and built a house in New Zealand which was partly built into the hillside. Then grew stuff on top of the roof, which was already grassland. He had housekeeper and husband living there when he wasn't 'in' - and they complained about lots of creepy-crawlies trying to share their accommodation . . . .
but essentially a great idea - it's probably just a matter of control and proper initial installation.
