NoBoDe - I have just remembered an episode when I was a more ambitious than experienced cook and took a recipe from a professional cook book for ginger-bread - flour, spices and lots of honey - then you were supposed to let it sit - except I had used the huge amounts given in the book - so I finished with an unmanageable lump of flour-etc-and-honey, sticky - unable to do something with it - I kept it for a while - hoping, that maybe an overnight stay in the fridge would make it more manageable - HMMMM - NOT - so it finished up in the bin - wonder how many ant kingdoms it supplied . . . .
My mum was an amazing cooky-baker - always made tons for Christmas, beginning in early December and many were hung from the branches of the Christmas Tree . . .
