Except that you are picking and choosing verses (Meccan Surahs, etc), therefore you don't acknowledge all aspects of the Quran. I point to the brutal attitude on display in the Quran that relate to non believers, then you switch to the 'Meccan Quran' - which doesn't actually exist as a separate source - as if this somehow absolves the Quran of its brutality, then you switch back to Quran when doing that suits a need.
