My political loyalties ? Don't have any really. Traditionally I favor parties that are financially conservative but socially responsible. In other words I'm in the centre with a slight leaning to the right.

But, I don't know what that's got to do with anything. Particularly you posting unsubstantiated rubbish that you can't back up. Such as the $3 billion HELE for example.

I notice you're trying to divert the conversation now into other countries and also trying to use pricing that applies to other countries and lacks huge amount of detail. No financing costs, no planning costs etc.
If you had actually read the report you would know why the Minerals Council has backed away from it.

But you haven't. Typical of a ON supporter, you repeat their policy claims without actually checking that they are true. You are an idiot if you believe and publically repeat anything Hanson says. Why don't you contact her and ask for policy detail seeing as you are a supporter?

Coal fired power stations are being built in China because they have a very different economy to ours and do not have a mature power system like we do. You also forget to mention that they are the worlds biggest investors in renewable energy as well.
Now, why would the Chinese be the biggest renewable investors if they didn't think it was worth doing ?

Coal causing a rift ? You betcha . The same idiots are undermining the Coalition because of the coal lobby paying them off. Meanwhile, the average Australian wants cleaner cheaper energy and Canberra isn't listening.

The Canberra idiots are going to be schooled at the next election.
