I only brought up the Meccan Quran to demonstrate to you where the trouble making started, where Muhammads family and followers were being persecuted. They were not the persecutors. I think you're getting so embroiled in asserting your point that you're forgetting why I post certain things.....
In regards to science being similar to religion is punishing unbelievers, and reqarding believers, its very simple DBT9.
As a dentist, I am the messenger to tell my patients that eating sugar and not brushing their teeth will result in decay, and eventually an abcess. Those who are my believers will be rewarded by healthy teeth. Those who are the unbelievers will be punished with the hellfire of toothache and abcesses. I'm simply the messenger of how the universe is set up.
Muhammad is also the messenger of how the universe is set up. In the year 632, you either listened to Him and valued His message and became a believer, or you ignored Him, didn't listen to Him and carried on with your warring ways and became an unbeliever. The consequence was not in the Prophet's hands.
