Kudos. Great find!
I don't think too much can be read into it. He's an Australian diplomat supporting an Australian company which you he's done in a straightforward way. Really I think he's just supporting the exact Lynas position.
Great that he's involved though as diplomacy is what is going to win this. Science, fact and SMSL trumpeting are irrelevant.
