I don't think the deal with Lumileds fell over. See Giles' negotiation consideration about exclusivity flagged at the AGM below. They are still in discussion with Lumileds, but not on an exclusive basis. I would imagine they wanted to get the get the issue about exclusivity sorted ASAP so they could then navigate that fork in the road to commercialisation. BLG now continue commercialisation discussions with Lumileds and are free to pursue parallel opportunities with others. This allows them to pursue their vision of broad RPCVD adoption by the industry.
Still, it would be better for this to be clarified by BLG rather than me!
