I have tried to explain this before. I'll try again. When I mentioned Nelson Mandela's response of love, respect and kindness to those who robbed him of the most productive period of his life your response was to take me to task by asking me how I would react if my close family were tortured?
And I have tried to explain to you that Nelson Mandela was acting on his own behalf. He would have acted differently if women and childrens lives were being threatened. He would have done anything he could have within his power to defend them. There is a difference between ethics for myself, an individual, and ethics for the protection of others, or societal ethics, or governmental protection ethics.
You, like DBT9 seem to be happy to softly and meekly turn away from protection of children and other defenceless individuals.
I justify Muhammad's actions because He is being vilified for defending women and children who were being killed by the clans and tribes of Arabia. Muslims had never killed or harmed one soul before Summayah and Yasir Ibn Amir were murdered.
There is no greater harm done than by good people doing nothing in the face of evil done to others .
