I have only worked in the area a short period. Wetar Island due north of Dili.
It’s copper & gold and good.
NTT as it’s known Nusa Tengara Timor.
Indonesian for eastern islands of middle Indonesia now East Timor are full of Copper & gold, my Indonesian wife is Timorese decent mother from Dili father from Kupang.
East Timor is a minerials treasure that’s why Indonesia wanted to hang onto it.
