Leaders of a country (politicians) using language like ‘overun by Muslims/Asians’ - ‘Invaders, criminals/rapists’ ‘illegals’ ‘threat to our way of life’ Etc etc- tell us in clear language that we have an enemy and generate fear. For the uneducated or/and unstable in our community- particularly if they are armed or violent - this is clear command to defend and attack if and when you can. Think about the word ‘leaders’ They lead - that’s the whole concept. These politicians don’t exercise the caution and responsibility that should come with the privilege of elected power.

A cautious and responsible polity may well have consulted the citizens they claim to represent, before implementing a radical change to a nation's immigration programme and racial/ cultural makeup. .Republic? - Don't make me laugh, Australia is still a colony and we do what we're told.
