In the absence of any clarification or communication from the BOD as to why the Half Yearly Report was not lodged on the 15th March, I called the ASX to clarify a couple of things.
1. When the Company had a change of name and stock code, did the Company's classification change from being a Mining and Metals entity? He confirmed that it had not changed, and as such the report was due on the 15th March.
2. Had the Company lodged the report on the due date, is there a possibility that the ASX were waiting on further clarification on any items contained in the report? The response was if that had been the case it would show up in the ASX system, and that the last announcement lodged was the Supplementary Prospectus on the 22 February.
He asked to put me on hold to clarify the above with an ASX Listings Manager and then confirmed that is correct.
I stand to be corrected, but I recall that this is not the first time a report has been lodged late.
Brings back memories of the song Why Are We Waiting? that we used to sing as kids - look up the original lyrics it's quite apt.
