I dont think they were necessarily trying to distance themselves, so much as they were trying to re-iterate the fact that they have once and for all written their holding down to $ 0.00 . No downside.

To me this sends the message that they acknowledge that this investment was 'bleeding' the balance sheet and possibly holding the AMU sp back, and as a result made the decision to wear the pain and put the issue to rest.
A responsible decision imo.

AMU may elect not to participate in the ARW rights issue.

If sentiment suggests that to participate will have a negative effect on AMU sp, is it then reasonable to expect a positive effect if AMU elects not to participate ??
