Sorry to dig up such an old thread but thought it might be time to revisit Safran. Makes for some interesting reading for those that can be bothered looking back through it. Reading some of the comments from Safran management you would think this was a sure thing but from what LDN told us recently this has gone out to tender and the way forward at the moment is purchase orders (presumably until a contract has been awarded - hopefully to us).
I bought in to BRN in late 2017 because they looked like a spec stock that was on the verge of producing solid revenue, just hasn't happened unfortunately. So where to from here.....
Veritone......maybe, encouraging announcement the other day but need to hear we have been integrated in to aiWARE. Gone a bit cold on them since their acquisition of Machinebox. Almost like they saw what Studio could do and went looking for a cheap(ish) replacement.
Quantum......fingers crossed. Some of LDN's old pals, integrated in to Stornext with some serious potential upside.
VMS.......can only hope, zero expectations
Safran.........one time sure thing, now just a maybe, still we a can live in hope!
Safran to build a new plant in India to make parts for the LEAP engine
Only the last paragraph that is of any interest to me...
" Safran had already announced in 2018 the construction of a Safran Electrical & Power factory to produce LEAP engines harnesses and Rafale fighter electrical wiring interconnections systems. Also located in the Special Economic Zone, this 4,000 square meter factory will be delivered by mid-2019 and will have 250 people. Operations have already gotten under way in temporary premises with 33 employees, 19 of whom were technicians identified from the State of Telangana and trained through partnership between Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge and Safran Electrical & Power. With this new Safran Aircraft Engines plant in Hyderabad, Safran is expanding its local footprint, while also leveraging synergies with the Indian aerospace industry."
and there is this latest announcement from Safran,
Safran wins electrical harnesses contract for the Boeing 777X
