Maybe you should have a bit of a look around the real world and see what's going on ?

Regardless of who's in power, we are moving to a lower emission world.

As for subsidies, they are disappearing and new projects are being bid on no subsidies at all. So, they are not doing it for the subsidies. Btw, oil companies have always done deals with governments and recieved ' assistance ' in one form or other.

Maybe it hasn't occurred to you but in the move to electric vehicles, oil companies are losing a massive customer. The future of transport is clearly electric and maybe hydrogen so the smarter companies will still sell you energy, it just won't be hydrocarbon based.

Have a think about that.
