Murrin Murrin will increase annual output by at least 20 percent once construction finishes in late 2009, Peter Johnston, the chief executive officer of the Perth-based company said. An increase in labor shortages delayed the construction target from late 2008, he said.
``We would have thought we would get it up in 12 months and it is probably more like two years now'' because of the labor shortages, Johnston said today in an interview at a conference in Canberra. Staff turnover rates had increased 10 percent in a year to about 30 percent, adding to the labor problem, he said.
