In the US they have the " SEC PV10" method which is basically meaningless because of all the numbers and factors which go into the calculations. AS the prices change the value can fluctuate by huge numbers both up and down....

Furthermore unlike some other countries where you can write up the value of assets, the US doesn't allow that.
