S&P mantém avaliação da Vale em BBB-, com perspectiva negativa

São Paulo - Rating agency S & P has withdrawn Vale's note of observation for possible downgrade, reaffirmed the "BBB-" rating, with a negative outlook. At the same time, S & P downgraded the individual credit profile (SACP) rating from "bbb" to "bbb-".
According to the agency, Vale has been proactive in repairing damages caused by the rupture of the dam in Brumadinho (MG) and implemented measures to decommission other units with similar characteristics. However, the agency points out that the episodes of Brumadinho and Mariana cast doubt on the miner's ability to "understand, map, control and mitigate risks in dams."
