The demand is out weighted by supply... There is hope!!!
71% of all cannabis sales in Canada this year will occur through the black market. That is the reality outlined by Scotiabank analysts. A grim headline that some may construe as the failure of legalisation. And it’s true.Canada’s legal pot growers have failed……failed to produce enough product. The reason for this black market boom is because demand is outstripping supply. There simply isn’t enough legal weed to go around, so consumers are having to resort to dodgy dealers. As GrowthOp reports:‘The lack of consistent supply in legal cannabis shops across the country has been a major market stimulator for the illicit sector, which is not plagued by the same regulatory restrictions, taxes and licensing fees as the legal industry and can, therefore, offer consumers a more consistent supply at a considerably cheaper price.’
