You really don't understand much about this small industry do you, trying to apply basic bulk commodity norms.

Chinese producers are withdrawing material from mkt as prices fall below breakeven in a down cycle accentuated by downstream destocking.

At some point downstream will start restocking and will inevitably need to bid up for limited material, and restart production. This is NOT a bulk exchange traded commodity with reserves sitting around in traders w/houses, rather push/pull thru a very small number of players in the MSC.

Lynas on the other hand just keeps on selling pretty much everything it makes, month in, month out, on allocation to a handful of customers. Appears La now in the same situation as NdPr.
