Show me an example of an Australian LIC that narrowed its discount meaningfully by buying back stock? Ultimately it reduces liquidity and shrinks the universe of potential buyers - decent sized advisers will not look at a small LIC as to hard to get client set and impossible to exit quickly if needed without taking a massive haircut. Better alternatives are higher dividends and more disclosure (weekly NTA not monthly).
