A JV appoints a Marketing Agent to market their share of Oil on the International Spot Market. Sales terms etc r all negotiated for the cargo shipment. The transportation costs gets added to the overall production/ lifting costs which then r deducted from the Sales price for the net margin before taxes etc.

- Tullow uses Vitol to sell the 39API Jubilee Crude.
- WPL & Mitsui engage with METS to sell the Heavy Sweet crude from Enfield/Vincent.
- BP-KOS shortlisted BP's Gas Marketing Division from a list of contenders to sell LNG from the upcoming Tortue Project.
