The ACCC doesn't have much of a logical stance for rejection. Voda has virtually no influence on landline, TPG has scrapped its mobile network. The only way these companies can afford to build a 5G network is by merging. If the ACCC doesn't allow, we will have duopoly on 5G.
It's AMAZING to me that the ACCC completely screwed up the energy sector and banking sector by being too lax, but is hyper-vigilant (to the point of being paranoid) on telcos. It's an absolute joke.
