I would pretty much put it down to FBR not being ready for anything contractual.
My belief is that many doors will open once the tech is tried and proved. One thing i've learnt in life is that even if doors close, more doors will always open and most of the time for the better.
In FBR's case, time is on our side, FBR is ahead of its time in the construction industry, and it takes a while for people to come to terms with the idea that robots will eventually be doing tasks that have been done the same way 100's to 1000's of years.
AirBnB launched multiple times before it was able to convince the world its the way forward, disruptive technologies often struggle in the beginning. I like what i see in FBR's ambition and vision, its 100% apparent that they are determined to make this happen - hence why i have stuck around for 3 or so years
