I like this “changing of the guard” type of situations. I have been through many of this where a stock becomes too big of a portion of many initial shareholders portfolios, so they give it up.

I was there when A2M had many investors saying they rode the stock from 0.40 to $1.80 so decided to jump off. Guess I took the baton and rode the baby to $13.

I was there when APX shareholders at $5 said wow, I’ve made too much money from $5 to $10, I’m out and that “no one ever went broke taking a profit”. I gladly took the baton at $10 and continue to ride this bad boy.

Similar to ALU, at $19 a lot of folks who got on early at $5 had 4 bags and had enough. So they handed me the baton and I’m riding it from $19 onwards.

I guess there will always be these changing of the guard type scenarios. All these companies are simply starting out in my opinion. People who jump out gives an opportunity to slower investors like me who missed the initial spurt but are happy to ride the longer and hopefully more profitable ride.

Like how Amazon was a $60 stock in 2009. Some people probably bought in $60, sold at $300 Happy with the 5 bags. The people then who bought the stock at $300 would’ve done the same thing, wow I’ve grown 5 bags, jumps out at $1500.

My point is, what if those people who got into a good thing early had not jumped out because they thought they had profited enough?

What if that hat guy who bought into A2M at 40c continued holding till today? 3250% return

The early APX investor? $5 to $25, 500-600% returN or heaps more if they invested under $2.

ALU? 700-800% return, heaps more if they invested under $2.

    Amazon? 3000-3500% easy.

My point is, don’t be happy because you doubled or tripled your money... you’re lucky you got in early. I have a habit of getting late into good stocks (CTD $27, ALU $20, NEA $2.6, WEB $12). Why be happy with a 200% or 300% return when you can stay on for a 3000% return?
