pc40, I don't think Exxon would be interested in Grieve. It's too small in size for a $500B company.
But it would be of interest to a smaller company. Those I mentioned earlier (Anadarko, Merit and Devon) would all be interested I think.
If ELK had a CO2 agreement in place it would be of even more interest to them. As we know, CO2 is in limited supply at the moment and more companies want to get there hands on it. Merit did not have their contract renewed with Exxon so I imagine they would be desperate for supply. If they bought Grieve I would imagine they would also get the CO2 which they can divert to their other fields as they need.
I wouldn't sell Grieve for anything less than $120M. That's a nice round figure that would equate to $2 ps.
