The possibility of the US Military running human trials is indeed very interesting. Without wanting to put a dampener on things- whatever its issues I think IMC has a lot of potential- I’m going to make two assertions. Feel free to disagree or argue against them.
- Fast Track designation doesn’t make much difference (it still seems to take months to get an FDA appointment). Of course I’d much rather have FT than not. (god knows how bad Slow Track designation must be)
- Involvement with the U.S. Military doesn not necessarily mean things will go quickly (or properly) either. However, I’d much rather have them on board than not.
I know that sounds negative, I will say I am open to the suggestion that we could all be pleasantly surprised by unexpected good news. The lack of issue with safety does mean that they can jump straight to efficacy.
They also promised the next trial data by the end of this quarter. So I’m expecting that by EOFY we’ll all get a much better feel for what direction things are going.
