My guess is that obama will turn out to be completely unelectable. The republicans will not need to do anything nefarious to stop him. His shady background, criminal/terrorist contacts and past will eventually become a major election issue.
The broader US electorate will not likely vote in mass for a prinicpal and key member of basically a black seperatist/supremacist organization mascarading as a church group.
Obama would generally be classed as an apostate by much of the islamic world and so subject to death penalty executable by any and all, including security details assigned to protect him in foreign countries.
The michelle factor has yet to play out as there is reputed to be some bombshell videos from the last 20 years of her attendance at the "church" that might come to light via a leak or otherwise as the campaign progresses.
The politics by assassination issue still looms large as the clintons are not done yet in their quest for power and are completely ruthless and not likely to let a small thing like the democratic party nomination stand in their way.
