@Scarpa, how are you doing? Thought I'd ask see what you think of drilling running into water. Question that come to mind are (admittedly arising from ignorance) ....
1- What is the likelihood of the aquifers being connected (e.g., being part of the "Great" artisan basin) and not of the isolated impermeable (small) type. If so, would that mean the end of the story. since for example, even if they do find something of value, mining with and unlimited amount of water to deal with may be an issue (?)
2- Is it correct to assume they had known they would perhaps/likely run into water? The reason I ask the question is that, if so, then why (seemingly) no pre-planning and hence action to follow once they hit water.
3- What does it take to deal with the water?
