Also demonstrates company thinks it is undervalued which means they are investing at a bargain price in themselves. Belies long term confidence that this investment in itself will be worth more longer term.
A divvy is silly because they have huge projects and potential - there is no longer term strategy or value inherent in a one-off divvy. Short term spike, then shorters double down - nothing has changed.
