I have been trying to put a figure on the value of RLL and this is what I come up with.
Potash: 56m ton @ $300 per ton = $15,500,000,000
Lithium: 7m ton @ $7,046 per ton = $50,000,000,000
Other: (Magnesium, sodium carbonate, sodium sulphate,and boric acid.) Lets say roughly $10,000,000,000
Total: $75,500,000,000
My figures are based on an email I just got from PT on the latest quantity estimates, the expected price estimates 2009 and 100% recovery. So even if RLL only recovers 50% that is still over 35 billion dollars at today's prices! Not bad!
If RLL's patented process can make the LiCO more pure then they can get up to $25,000 per ton plus royalties.
All this should come out in the demerger prospectus.
PT also said they are only waiting on the centrifuges to be installed at Rincon and then continuous commercial production will commence from the pilot plant. I assume thats also when work commences on the full size plant.
