It isn't easy to move the solidified dogma of now ageing creeds, and given most fall into the religion of their parents, there is a lot of inertia to overcome.
But the mindset of people is changing, and given the world is likely to experience some serious environmental shocks in the future, I expect new world views to gain traction.
Everything has a birth and death and IMO religions are not exempt.
