just read your post.

you're sensible to say the consolidation will do no good for the sp. my yrs of mkts and here are two wise things to remember. call them rules, if you wish to.

1 share consoilidations are usually bearish for the share price.

2 rights issues ditto.

not all but nearly all. jfi.

sell on the news of both and well above average you'll be in front by buying back later.

why ?

company consolidations are a requisit to remaining listed.

rights dilute and altho maybe cheaper than borrowings, a well managed company doesn't need rights.
