Lithium prices are declining largely due to the decline in Chinese appetite. Despite this, top Australian Li producers such as ORE are fairing well so a recovery in the lithium price bodes well for investors. The China lithium appetite is largely controlled by the Chinese authorities and it is not disbelieved that the Chinese are seeking to lower Lithium pricing down prior to securing big long term contracts with suppliers in the hope of have a larger global 'controlling' stake in the sector which it wants. That is not denied and key strategists suspect as much.
