It don’t look like ERA have applied for an amendment to the atomic energy act to continue mining at ranger not anywhere that I can see.
So we have to assume that the mine will close in jan 2021.
Given that the onerous rehab costs would about $25? to the cash costs that is a huge dent in profitability.
An amendment would take years to ratify by that time the project economics would have evaporated way.
Some stake holders will be very happy about that and others would be very unhappy about that, especially the NT gov who is in a deep struggle to provide economic viability for the territory.
