Here's how it happeed...

I placed a buy order at market price about 45 mins b4 end of trading day, half of the order was executed and the other half remained at the highest bid price. I called commsec and asked why had my buy at market stopped at the highest bid and not flowed through to the next seller?

Thats when they explained that they have staff to stop such orders from influencing the price.

The girl on the phone went back and forth to her supervisor and nothing was done. Then it gets better...

By the end of days trade my order was still sitting at the top of the bidders list. The next morning a couple of sellers dropped off and when the market opened my market order was executed at a higher price than it would have the previous day.

I was not happy!
