Ivcius, I would not be surprised that some of the victims would have found the whole event so hopeless that they could resort to such drastic measures particularly if you are 65 looking forward to retirement and to lose it all through such a fiasco. It would be hard to take.
To put this into perspective, 1987 crash did resulted in quite a number of suicides. So it is highly possible that this may be occurring as it is an extremely painful event for all affected.
